We acknowledge that the individuals under the 2SLGBTQIA+ umbrella are diverse and embrace distinct labels. For the purpose of this guide, we will use the term 2SLGBTQIA+ to describe people who are two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual. The '+' is inclusive to non-binary, questioning, and all other identities who may have a broader or more specific label (Canada.ca).
