Option 1 - Use LibKey Nomad Browser Extension

1) Install Libkey Nomad Browser Extension

2) Search IEEE XPLORE for an article you want to access

3) If StFX has access to the article, LibKey Nomad will display a "Download PDF" button in the bottom left hand corner of the webpage. Click on the link and you will be taken to the article.


 

Option 2 - StFX does not have immediate access to the article - Request through Interlibrary Loan!

If StFX does NOT have access to the article, copy the title of the article

1) Copy the title of the article

2) Go to the library webpage

3) Paste the title of the article into the Novanet Search Box and click "Search"

4a) If the article is in the results list, click "Available Online"

4b) If the article is not in the list, or you get no search results, click "See results from outside Novanet"

5) If you are not already signed into Novanet, click "Sign In". Your username and password is your StFX email address and password.

6) Click "Request from other Libraries"

7) Fill in form, and click "Send Request". You should receive a PDF copy of the article in 2-3 business days.

Option 3 - Fill in Interlibrary Loan Request Form

If the first two options do not work for you, you will need to submit an interlibrary loan request.

1) Log-in to our Interlibrary Lending (ILL) form.

  • Login: StFX Library card barcode (Begins 2199…)
  • Password - Your last name, exactly as it is spelled on your library account. 
    • To double check the spelling, please log in to the Novanet catalogue by selecting the appropriate patron option. 
      • For StFX patrons, this will be your webFX credentials
      • Community borrowers will login with their library card barcode and the password they created. If you are a community borrower and your password doesn't work or you have forgotten it, please use the option to reset your password.

2) Fill in as many of the fields as possible.  The more information you provide, the better your chances will be our staff can find what you are looking for. Be sure the personal information you provide is correct, especially your e-mail and phone number.

3) Check the box next to terms and conditions found near the bottom of the form

4) Click Submit

5)  A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the account on file and a further notice will be given when the book arrives or there is an issue in fulfilling the request.
